Las Vegas – Zion National Park (147 miles)

This morning you will pick up your motorhome from the Las Vegas depot, just a 15 minute taxi ride away. Once you’ve familiarised yourself with your motorhome, head out to spectacular Zion National Park. There are plenty of places en route to stock up on provisions and you could also call in can stop en route at the charming little town of Springdale, and maybe stock up on some provisions. The recommended campsite is the Zion River Resort, ideally located for easy access to one of America’s most beautiful National Parks. And we recommend you stay here for at least two nights. There are lots of opportunities to admire the Grand Canyon from different vantage points – watch the sunrise or sunset from the rim or take a helicopter ride. If you’ve already seen the Grand Canyon, then this part of the itinerary can easily be excluded, as you can cut straight across to Lake Powell.

You’ll continue onto Monument Valley, where you should park up at your campsite for the evening in Gouldings and then take a tour, which will take you to all the famous monoliths of Monument Valley, including photo drops at “The Mittens”, “John Fords Point” and “The Three Sisters”.

Day 8

Monument Valley – Bluff (47 miles)

Get up early this morning and take the short drive to Bluff where you can enjoy one of the best one-day river trips available. Travel down the San Juan River, past the River House cliff dwelling until its time to stop for lunch, then continue onto a limestone chasm where you will see bighorn sheep and 300 million year old fossils.
