Overview

Historic and authentic, Kay El Bar Guest Ranch offers guests a traditional taste of western life. Located just an hour from Phoenix, you can spend your time here enjoying scenic horseback rides across the Sonoran Desert, through saguaro forests and slot canyons, alongside swimming in the pool, enjoying home cooked meals and exploring on fat tire electric bikes.

This historic ranch has offered the traditional ranching experience for over 100 years, with the Homestead House built in 1914 and the large lodge built in 1926. Now, the Lodge offers comfort for just 25 guests, so you can enjoy a personal dude ranch stay.

Enjoy home cooked meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, either in the cosy dining room, on the patio, or while out on the trail. There’s also a lovely bar area where you can enjoy a good book and a sophisticated drink.

The ranch is just over an hour northwest of Phoenix in Wickenburg, Arizona. Situated on 100 acres of land, there is plenty of space to roam.

The Main Lodge holds approximately 25 guests. Each Lodge Room features a private bathroom, hand-painted Monterey furniture and western artwork, plus one king size bed, one queen size bed or two twin beds.

The Homestead House is great for groups of up to seven people. It features a private entrance and a living area with a cosy fireplace, a table and chairs, and lots of seating.

The Casa Grande sleeps four guests, and also has its own private entrance and cosy living area with a fireplace and lots of seating.

 

Enjoy delicious homemade meals in the dining room, on the patio, or while on the trail. There is also a social hour every evening in the lodge. The lodge also has a bar area with ample seating and books and games to relax with.
