Flights and transfers
There are direct flights from London to Phoenix Sky Harbour with flights taking around 10 hours. Regional departures are available, but these require indirect flights.
Visa requirements
Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months from your return date to the UK, and you’ll need to check the full entry requirements before you travel. You can do this by visiting the FCO website or by contacting the relevant embassy. UK passengers can travel to the USA under the Visa Waiver Scheme, by completing an online form using the Electronic System for Travel Authorisation (ETSA) system. For more information, take a look at the US Embassy site.
Language
English is the primary language spoken across Arizona.
Transportation
If you’re not on an organised tour, hiring a car is definitely your best bet for getting around Arizona. Even the big cities like Phoenix and Tucson are geared up with travel by car and your ability to get yourself around will be limited without one. The larger cities do have reasonable public transport, but if you’re looking to get around elsewhere without a car, you will struggle.
