Days 1 - 4   Miami

Miami is a place where you can enjoy many different experiences, depending on your mood or temperament. You can relax on the beach or jog along the boardwalk. You can admire the architecture or shop ‘til you drop. You can spend the evening people-watching or strut your stuff on the dance floor. Miami is known for its beautiful beaches, multi-cultural atmosphere and sunny weather. With a wealth of shopping centres, beach activities, trendy nightlife and cultural hotspots, Miami is equally good for a weekend break, part of a multi-centre, or a full-on fortnight holiday.

There are several different parts of Miami, but the two key areas for holidaymakers are Miami Beach and South Beach. Technically, South Beach is a part of Miami Beach. The barrier island that runs along the coast of downtown Miami is called Miami Beach, and the southernmost tip of this island is South Beach. Here you will find beautiful Art Deco architecture, designer boutiques and world famous nightlife – South Beach is where the action is. Miami Beach runs further north, and is less crowded, better value and takes in some excellent family resort hotels with great facilities. If you want to be in the centre of the action, and don’t mind paying the premium for one of the most expensive destinations in Florida then choose a hotel in South Beach. If you want to have a more laid-back stay but still be just a short taxi ride away from the fun, then choose a resort hotel in Miami Beach.

Days 4 - 7   Islamorada

Sitiuated roughly a third of the way down the Keys, Islamorada , the "Village of Islands" encompases 6 of the islands of the Keys. Brimming with natural beauty and vibrance and housing the largest fishing fleet per square mile, it is known as the sport fishing capital of the world! Diving, snorkelling and glass-bottom boating in the clear waters of the Florida Keys is a fantastic experience. If you’re a fan of water sports you’ll find plenty including fishing, kayaking and eco tours. We reccommend a trip to Robbies Marina, whose Hungry Tarpon Restaurant serves the most delicious cuisne with a fabulous atmosphere ovelooking the water. Or, you can just relax with a cocktail and watch the fabulous sunsets.

Days 7 - 10   Key West

The southernmost point in the United States, Key West is famous for water sports, lively nightlife, beaches and historic sites. Whatever you do be sure not to miss Duval Street, one of the most energetic strips of shops, bars and cafes in all the land. Be sure to check-out Sloppy Joe’s bar, a favourite hangout of novelist Ernest Hemingway? And, for the more sober-minded, the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum (look for the celebrated six-toed cats). Walking tours are the best way to see the island's intriguing architecture, courtyards and gardens and our personal favourite, book yourself on one of the many walking ghost tours!
