Marco Island holidays - Laidback, quiet and charming
Part of Florida’s Ten Thousand Islands, Marco Island entices with its easy-going and sun-drenched lifestyle. Water sports, wildlife and sweeping beaches make this a quintessentially Floridian destination.
Discover classic Floridian charm
The largest and only developed barrier island just off Southwest Florida, Marco Island is a lesser-known destination, but still boasts that Floridian charm families can’t get enough of. The island is linked to the mainland by bridges south of Naples, making it easy to enjoy everything Marco Island has to offer.
Here you’ll find beautiful untouched beaches that sweeps across the west coast, with an array of welcoming resorts in the south. Quaint marinas line the coastline, with divine seafood restaurants and great shelling excursions. If you’re hoping for a few leisurely activities, take advantage of the island’s excellent self-guided canoe trips, or venture to Tigertail Beach Park for paddle boarding and kayaking. Meanwhile, Briggs Nature Reserve boasts a half-mile boardwalk ideal for spotting wildlife including alligators in the swamps, and gopher tortoises curiously poking their head out the water.
Charming, laidback and tranquil, Marco Island is a great escape from the usual Florida hot spots.
