Day 3 and 4
New York – Hudson Valley
Today head upstate and take a short Amtrak train from New York Moynihan Train Hall (previously known as Penn Station) along the picturesque Hudson River to the Hudson Valley. Explore the region’s historic districts, visit local shops, and grab lunch at a quaint café. Consider places like Rhinebeck for its charming atmosphere and visit the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, or how about Beacon and visiting the DIA Beacon Art Museum? Enjoy a relaxing dinner at a local farm-to-table restaurant, savouring the region's fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Start your day with a visit to a nearby nature spot, such as Bear Mountain State Park or Storm King Art Center. Have lunch in a scenic spot or a local eatery, take a hike, enjoy the scenery, or explore outdoor art installations. With many things to do in the afternoon, we recommend visiting historic sites like Kykuit, Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National, the Rockefeller Estate or the historic Vanderbilt Mansion. Hudson Valley - Syracuse/Finger Lakes
Take the Amtrak this morning from the Hudson Valley to Syracuse and arrive in time to explore the Armory Square district and explore the unique shops and boutiques in the area. Check out the Salt City Market nearby, a food hall with over 15 vendors and a diverse culinary range. A few blocks away and discover the Erie Canal museum, a great collection of 200 years of Erie Canal history. Afterwards, bike or walk along the Erie Canal or indulge in a shopping spree at the Destiny USA.
The next day how about heading out to the stunning Finger Lakes region and start your day with a visit to one of the 11 lakes, like Skaneateles Lake. You can take a scenic boat tour or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront. Have lunch in the charming town of Skaneateles, known for its historic architecture and boutique shops. Explore Niagara Falls State Park, where you can enjoy stunning views of the falls and how about taking a guided tour, and learn about the history of the area? Have lunch at a restaurant with a view of the falls, perhaps trying some local specialties. Afterwards, explore Goat Island, which offers additional viewpoints and walking trails.
How about a thrilling adventure by taking a Maid of the Mist boat tour. Get up close to the falls and feel the mist on your face. Alternatively, consider the Cave of the Winds tour for a unique perspective. View the falls from a different vantage by visit the Niagara Falls Observation Tower. Toronto
Take your last train to Toronto, Canada! A visit to Toronto isn’t complete without taking a ride to the top of the CN Tower for breathtaking views of the city and Lake Ontario. Head to the Distillery District for lunch. Explore the cobblestone streets lined with boutiques, art galleries, and cafes. Have dinner in the vibrant neighbourhood of Kensington Market, known for its diverse food options. Visit the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) to explore a fascinating collection of art, culture, and natural history. Spend the evening at the Toronto Waterfront. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Harbourfront and take in the views of Lake Ontario.
Visit High Park, Toronto's largest public park. Explore the lush greenery, visit the zoo, or take a stroll around Grenadier Pond. Head to the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) to appreciate a diverse collection of art, including works by Canadian and Indigenous artists.
